Description
This is an introduction to boat control with a Greenland Paddle. Find out the history of the paddle and kayak design and see for yourself the incredible contribution this traditional method has made to our current method of paddling! Learn strokes with a traditional Greenland (stick) paddle, including the canted forward stroke and the sliding stroke. Progress into efficient maneuvering strokes and bracing that will help you avoid a capsize and prepare you to roll.

Dry Suit Rental: included in lesson
Kayak Rental: $15.00/day plus tax, delivered to the lesson. Choice item for class with or without kayak rental (Includes Brit or Dane/Greenland style kayak, spray-skirt, PFD, bilge pump, paddle float, and paddle)
Parking: A Washington State Discover Pass ($30/yr.) or $10 Day Use Fee is required to drive into the State Park. Passes may be purchased from machine at park entrance or on-line at:Buy Discover Pass On-line

Fist select the rental option and, if applicable, the lesson location. Then select the date of the lesson/rental you wish to take.
