These "Retro" dry suits are a special make up Kokatat to use up remnant fabrics from before the next level GoreTex Pro fabric came out (2021). So they are newly made suits, but made with the old fabric. Compared with the current Goretex Pro suits, Retro suits feel a little stiffer and are less durable, but you can't beat these prices.

The Kokatat Retro GME-R dry suit (Goretex Meridian w/ Relief Zipper and GoreTex® Dry Socks) has been the gold standard by which all other white water river kayaking dry suits are judged. The Gore-Tex Meridian dry suit is a one-piece dry suit with a front entry zipper and over-skirt. Detailed Description

The defining features of all versions of the Kokatat Meridian dry suit (GME-R and Hydrus 3.0 Meridian) are an over-skirt and covered front entry zipper. The overskirt sandwiches your kayak spray-skirt like the double tunnel on a dry-top to keep your kayak drier while rolling, surfing and paddling in waves. Kokatat GME-R drysuits also have a front entry zipper that runs diagonally across the chest of the suit making it easy to get in and out of (as opposed to suits that use a rear-entry zipper across the shoulders which require a buddy to open and close plus some contortions to get in and out of). A flap covers the front entry zipper, "punch-through" neoprene gasket protectors cover the latex neck and wrist gaskets, and there's a self-draining zippered chest pocket with a key lanyard loop inside. GME-R suits also include Gore-Tex® Dry Socks which are the best of all solutions for the bottom of the leg (as opposed to latex drysocks or ankle gaskets). The punch-through neoprene neck and wrist covers act as a double seal and eliminate the need for any scratchy/sticky Velcro® around your neck and wrists.

The chest is measured around the fullest part of your chest. Stand relaxed and breath normally while taking this measurement.

Based on the user's height and weight, we need more information to guarantee proper drysuit fit. Please use a cloth tape measure or a long string and ruler to collect the following measurements.

This is measured around the widest portion of lower torso, found between where you would wear a belt and your sternum.

The user's shoe size might be too big/small for the standard dry sock on this dry suit.

This is the larger measurement between where a belt would rest and your natural waist (natural waist is where the narrowest part is, above the hip, and where your torso bends when bending sideways)

Take this measurement from the side to ensure the correct placement of the tape. Place the tape around the hips and across the widest part of the buttocks. Make sure that all pockets are empty.

The sleeve is measured as follows: Hold arm directly out to the side, parallel to the floor, palm down. Bend the elbow forward, stop hand in front of nose. Place the cloth measureing tape at the base of the neck, starting at the spine. Make sure that the start of the tape is at the same height as the elbow. Run tape along the arm, turn at the elbow, measuring to the wrist bone.

The inseam is measured from crotch to ankle bone. DO NOT USE YOUR PANT INSEAM! That is too long of a measurement.
