Wayne is a thoughtful, experienced sea kayaker and outdoors-man. This book covers sea kayaking and other outdoor sports, but you can learn from all of them regardless of what your focus is. For sea kayakers, this will be a companion to, "Sea Kayaker Deep Trouble" and "More Deep Trouble".

Ch. 5 introduces twelve sea kayaking scenarios plus many others that could just as well have happened on a sea kayak trip (stove failure, forgotten sleeping bag, etc.). Ch 6 examines all of these scenarios and uses a methodical approach to: Evaluate (what happened), Goals (given the situation), Options, Action taken, Summary (what went on in the leader(s) mind while doing the above and choosing what action to take)
